Who we are

React Boss is an online platform for learning React, from beginner to senior level, through live coding, AI-assisted hints, and proctored exit interviews. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit our site, join our waitlist, or use the platform.

Information we collect

• Account information: when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture so we can create and secure your account.
• Waitlist information: if you join the waitlist, we store your email address and the answers you give to the short questionnaire, so we can tailor early access and our launch communications.
• Learning activity: your lesson progress, XP, streaks, achievements, certificates, the code you write in the sandbox, and your AI interview transcripts and scores.
• Payment information: if you subscribe, payments are processed by Paystack. We do not store your full card details, we keep only a customer reference and your subscription status.
• Technical and usage data: information such as your browser, device, approximate location, and how you interact with the platform, collected to keep it running and to improve it.

How we use your information

• To provide, maintain, and secure your account and the platform.
• To track your progress and deliver XP, achievements, and certificates.
• To generate AI hints, reviews, and interview feedback based on the code and answers you submit.
• To process subscriptions and manage billing.
• To send you essential service emails and, where relevant, product and launch updates.
• To analyze usage so we can fix problems and improve the experience.

AI processing

To power hints, code reviews, and exit interviews, the code and responses you submit may be sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) for processing. This content is used to generate your feedback and is not used by us to train models. Avoid putting sensitive personal information into the sandbox or interview chat.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the platform, under agreements that require them to protect it:

• Supabase: database, authentication, and storage.
• Paystack: payment and subscription processing.
• Anthropic: AI hints, reviews, and interviews.
• Resend: transactional and product emails.
• Vercel and Upstash : hosting and caching infrastructure.
• PostHog and Sentry : product analytics and error monitoring.

We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the platform is used. You can read the details and manage your choice in our Cookie Policy.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the platform. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal data except where we are required to keep some of it for legal, accounting, or security reasons.

Security

We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your data safe and to respond quickly if an issue arises.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update your profile in your account settings, unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email or our unsubscribe page, or contact us to exercise any of these rights.

Children's privacy

React Boss is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of React Boss after an update means you accept the revised policy.
